Registering to Vote is EASY!  Here's How:
  • To register to vote you must be ...
    • a U.S. citizen;

    • at least 18 years of age by Election Day;

    • a resident of Michigan and the city or township where you are applying to register to vote.

  • How to Register
    • You can register to vote for federal, state and local elections by mail; at your county, city or township clerk’s office; or by visiting any Secretary of State branch office.

    • You may also register at the same time you renew your driver’s license by mail. Eligible drivers receive a voter registration application in the mail with their driver’s license renewal information.

  • When to Register
    • You must register at least 30 days before the election. This gives the clerk time to process the forms and send you a Voter Identification Card.

  • How to Vote
    • To vote, simply appear at your assigned polling place on Election Day. The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • U.S. House District 4
For the 2018 midterm election, we will be electing a new governor, attorney general, and one U.S. senator.  We will also be electing a state senator and a U.S. House representative. See the Endorsement page for details.
The state of Michigan, like all others, is divided into several voting districts. To make things a bit confusing the districts are not all the same. Boundaries are different for the Michigan House as opposed to the U.S. House. Same goes for the senate. Below we've listed districts that are relevant to Ogemaw County.  It's important that you know which districts you are a part of so that you can make informed decisions prior to heading out to the voting booth.
